Grow With Soul Ep. 31: Using Enneagram For Self-Awareness With Jessica Uys

Episode 31_ Jessica Uys Enneagram

Today I’m talking with Jessica Uys, a personal growth coach who uses enneagram to help people release old habits and live an uncompromised life. If, like me, you may have seen people mention their enneagram type online, but not really known exactly what they’re talking about. I think that, especially when you’re starting and running your own business that any self-awareness you can gain will have a huge impact on you and your work, so I wanted to get Jessica on to talk about this form of self-awareness and how we can all use it.

HERE IS WHAT WE TALK ABOUT IN THIS EPISODE

  • Jessica's business journey and how she got into Enneagram

  • What is Enneagram and its history

  • The outward benefits

  • Personal Development

  • Finding your Type

  • How to use your Type to change your patterns

  • Reflecting and observing your Type day to day

  • How it works within work scenarios

  • The impact it has on your daily life

  • Stereotyping

  • Miss-typing and digesting your Type

  • Checking intentions and listening to your body

Online test

Integrative Enneagram is the one I have personally chosen to work with given their typing accuracy and detailed reports.
If you decide to choose one of the tests that provide you with a list of your “top types”, that’s usually an invitation for further exploring, so use as a starting point rather than a definitive result. Be aware that many of the free ones available can result in mistyping so use them cautiously!
