Fireside: Episode 1 - Making a Start
Welcome to the first ever episode of Fireside! I’m so excited to once again be drawing up a chair, getting cosy, and joining you each week at whatever stage of your journey into creative working and living that you find yourself.
In today’s episode, I talk a little bit about the journey I’ve taken thus far, the spark and eventual stoking of Fireside and what it aims to be, and how it’s going to flow going forward. This segues nicely onto the topic of starting things. So, in this episode I’ll also be talking about balancing the flow of ideas with the execution of them, and including some actionable suggestions for getting started on your best ideas.
What I talk about in this episode:
They journey I’ve taken thus far, the space I’ve occupied until this point
An introduction to the informality of Fireside
How to put space and time around ideas
How to sift through your ideas for the ones that stick
Challenging the effort that things take - and the concept of effort itself
Accessing flow through discomfort
